When setting up your Alectra Utilities account to pay by online banking, a payee search for "AlectraUtilities" typically returns three possible matches. To set up your account to pay by online banking:
1. Select the payee* simply named "AlectraUtilities":
2. Enter your 10-digit Alectra utilities account number:
Choosing the correct payee will prevent any delay in your payment being received by alectra utilities and applied to your account. Allow three to five business days for bill payment processing.

Choose one of these three ways to contact Alectra Utilities to apply for a Pre-authorized Payment Plan:
- Complete and submit the online form:
- Call Alectra Utilities' Customer Service at 1-877-963-6900, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Select "Customer Service" from our main menu.
- Complete, print, sign and return the Pre-Authorized Chequing Application form to Alectra Utilities.
Change or cancel pre-authorized payments via the request forms below:
- Change Request Form - Pre-authorized Payment (PAP) - for existing PAP customers only
- Cancellation Request Form - Pre-authorized Payment (PAP) - for existing PAP customers only
Enclose both your cheque and invoice stub in the return envelope provided with your invoice, or mail to PO Box 3700, Concord, ON L4K 5N2.
Alectra Utilities accepts account payments through Western Union from within the PowerSteam service territory of Aurora, Markham, Richmond Hill and Vaughan, elsewhere in Ontario, anywhere in Canada, and even worldwide.
Western Union payment outlets include Metro grocery stores, most Wal-Mart stores, Money Marts and many convenience stores. Western Union does charge a transaction fee that is payable by the customer.
Alectra Utilities provides customers with two quick and easy ways to make electricity account bill payments by VISA, MasterCard or American Express. For more information about bill payment by credit card, read our frequently asked questions.
1. By web payment:
Choose one of the credit cards below. You will be transferred to a secure web page powered by our bill payment partner, Paymentus.
- Enter the payment information including your account number, credit card details and payment amount.
- You will be prompted to confirm that you agree to pay a convenience fee.
- Once all the information is entered, click on “Make Payment.”
- You will receive a confirmation number if the transaction is successful.
2. By telephone payment:
Dial 1-866-416-6049 and you will be linked to a secure automated telephone payment system powered by our bill payment partner, Paymentus.
- Enter the payment information including your account number, credit card details and payment amount.
- You will be prompted to confirm that you agree to pay a convenience fee.
- You will receive a confirmation number if the transaction is successful.
